- Boil it for about 5 minutes or until the oats become tender, and the water is absorbed
- Those wanting a toastier texture can toast the oats before boiling them
Note that oats put in cold water lend creamier oatmeal, and cooked in hot water, a textured one. You can also prepare your oatmeal in a microwave. This should take about 3 minutes. For a tastier treat, you can experiment with other spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves.
